The lack of growth in the lighting division was roughly in line with the Philips Group as a whole, whose overall revenue remained flat at €5.3 billion.
Growth in Philips’ Lumileds and automotive lighting businesses was offset by declines in other areas, the company said. The overall headcount fell by 171 in the three-month period, partly due to what the company called an “industrial footprint reduction” in lighting.
LED-based products now represent nearly a quarter of Philips’ lighting sales.
