The three-year-old building in Massachusetts, USA, cost over $190 million to build, and this mistake is set to cost the city another $20,000.

The lighting at Newton North High School uses efficient lamps across the estate, all connected to an online control system allowing energy consumption to be monitored remotely. Those with access to the online system can control the lighting, but for the people walking the hallways, such ideas are still a long way off.
