How the lighting became a feature at the Baku Sheraton

The newly refurbished Sheraton Hotel at Baku Airport in Azerbaijan has made lighting a feature of its public areas.

Elektra Lighting Design, which specialises in hospitality lighting, came up with the scheme for the public spaces in the hotel, including the lobby, reception area, food and drinks areas, function rooms and meeting rooms.

Lighting is designed to create focal areas of interest and add interest and sparkle to the luxurious interior design of the hotel, by Alex Kravetz.

Warm light was used to create an intimate feel in the triple-height space, while plenty of decorative lighting helps to focus attention down to the human scale.
