Eagle’s Multifive LED wins Greenwire Star Award

Eagle soars to top of the tree in office lighting, winning Greenwire Star Award for efficient room lighting design

Eagle Lighting Australia’s Multifive LED luminaire has grabbed the gong for the Most Efficient Room Lighting Design for Open Plan Offices in the Greenwire Star Awards.

A wide variety of the most popular LED 1200×300 ULB T-bar troffers available within the Australian lighting industry were independently reviewed by energy efficiency engineers Greenwire Consulting. The T-bar troffers were tested in an open office scenario with multiple grid spacings simulated using lighting level calculations performed by DIALux 4.12.

Only luminaires with verified NATA certified photometrics were considered as part of the award and lighting designs were restricted to those achieving a glare index of 19 or less according to Australia Standard AS1680.

Eagle’s Multifive LED range of luminaires utilise R5 Beta louvre technology. The Beta louvre features double parabolic cross blades with a reflector made of special satin matte material providing a high LOR with excellent visual comfort. Multifive LED luminaires are used extensively where BCA and Greenstar requirements dictate high efficiency and low power density.
