Biggest ever LuxLive attracts record visitors

Over 7,500 specifiers, end users and lighting professionals attended LuxLive 2015

This month’s LuxLive 2015 exhibition has attracted record visitors.  Some 7,612 specifiers and lighting professionals attended Europe’s biggest lighting event at ExCeL London last week, an increase of 5 per cent on the previous year.

This year also saw the introduction of a new architectural lighting show alongside LuxLive. lightspace dot london featured an arena whose speakers included leading architects and artists, an art gallery, designers’ cafe and big brand exhibitors including Artemide, Erco, iGuzzini, LED Linear and Zumtobel. 

The event featured presentations, debates and events across no fewer that two arenas and four theatres as well as a special Internet of Things experience zone in association with Gooee.

Over 67 per cent of stand space for 2016 was rebooked at the show, and new names for 2016 will include Samsung, Megaman and Urbis Schreder.

‘We’re really pleased with how this year’s LuxLive has gone,’ said show director Ray Molony. ‘The exhibitors excelled themselves with creative stands and great product introductions and visitor feedback is incredibly positive. There was huge interest in all the presentations, especially all the talks and demonstrations of internet-connected lighting.’

LuxLive 2016 takes place on Wednesday 23 November and Thursday 24 November 2016. 

  • The first overseas outing for the show takes place in Abu Dhabi on 13 and 14 April 2016. LuxLive Middle East will feature two arenas of presentations, demonststrations and debates. Exhibitors include Fagerhult, iGuzzini, Trilux, Soraa, Aurora, Erco, CU Phosco, Abacus, Ruud Lighting/Cree, Regent, Precision, RCL, Schreder Gulf, Tridonic, Opple, Coelux, Ligman USA and LEDS-C4.
