This April’s LuxLive Middle East exhibition is to provide a showcase for independent lighting design talent.
Organisers are working with both international and regional lighting design practices and top designers to bring their expertise and experience to the event and match their skills with developers and clients in the leisure, hospitality and residential sectors.
Top lighting designers will give keynote presentations and take part in debates in two custom-built arenas at the show, which takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on 13 and 14 April. Additionally, practices will exhibit their milestone projects in a special Gallery of Wonders.
Designers will also be on hand to offer lighting advice and guidance, and explain how they work and the benefits they can bring to a project. ’We’re keen that as well as bringing innovations to the show that we also bring in the talented people who can create great spaces with the technologies,’ says LuxLive content director Ray Molony.
Designers already announced as participating include Sally Storey of Lighting Design International, Paul Nulty of Nulty+, Abdulaziz Al Azem of Design Tech Services, Paul Miles of Light Touch and Michael Grubb of Michael Grubb Studio.
