Judging panel for Lux Awards Middle East announced

The full list of this year's jury for the Lux Awards Middle East has been revealed.

The jury for this year’s Lux Awards Middle East been announced and it includes a string of big names from across the lighting industry.

This year’s jury includes Florence Lam, global lighting leader at Arup, who will judge the project category, as well as James Benya, principal at Benya Burnett Consultancy and Martin Valentine, lighting expert at the municipality of Abu Dhabi City, who will assist her with the task.

The product segment of the awards will be judged by an equally distinguished group, including Faraz Izhar, senior lighting designer at KEO International Consultants, Waleed Fakousa, senior associate at CD+M Lighting Design Group and Lux Review technical editor Alan Tulla.

The 2017 Lux Awards Middle East plans to recognise how smart, efficient and long-lasting lighting technology is helping to make new landmarks in the region, where lighting design is booming. You can enter a project or product by clicking here.

The Awards will take place alongside LuxLive Middle East, which will commence on Wednesday 22 March and run until Thursday 23 March 2017. For the first time both events will be taking place in Dubai.

The official presentation of the awards will take place on 23 of March, when the Lux Person of the Year will also be announced.

A full list of the categories for the 2017 awards can be viewed here and this year the list includes Retail Lighting Project of the Year, Hotel Lighting Project of the Year, Restaurant Lighting Project of the Year, as well as a whole range of highly competitive product categories.
