REGISTRATION has opened for next month’s digital conference on UV-C lighting organised by the LuxLive team.
The LuxLive Digital Kicker UV-C Conference, which takes place on Tuesday 22 September, will focus on the role of UV-C lighting in securing the safety and wellbeing of workplaces.
UV-C light is one of few proven methods of eliminating the coronavirus and other pathogens, but its deployment in workplaces, education, healthcare and hospitality buildings has challenges.
In this special event, experts will explore both traditional mercury and LED technology, the standards and regulatory framework around ultraviolet lighting and current best practice in surface and upper room disinfection.
The latter, in which air-borne viruses are killed by UV-C light from mercury lamps mounted safely above and invisible to occupants, is expected to be a rapidly developing market.
Other topics include the use of UV-C chambers and tunnels in retail, commercial and hospitality to disinfect objects such as shopping trolleys
Starting with the basics, lead speaker Ray Molony, will be joined by highly knowledgeable industry personnel and key players in the sector for a day of presentation, seminars and panel discussions.
The deliberations will walk you through the current key discussion points surrounding this method of lighting, making sure that by the end of the day, you’ll have gained a greater insight on what promises to be a highly effective weapon against the virus.
The UV-C conference is suitable for employers, facility managers, building owners, building services engineers, lighting designers and professionals and manufacturers.
Registration and attendance are free of charge.
It’s a ‘kicker’ event in advance of the LuxLive 2020 Digital Festival, which takes place on Wednesday 11 November and Thursday 12 November 2020.
